The sport

A wing, the wind,
and you.

What is hang gliding?

A hang glider is a delta-shaped wing of aluminium and sailcloth. No engine, no cockpit — the pilot hangs in a harness under the wing and steers by shifting body weight. Launched from a hillside into the wind, a modern glider sinks so slowly that rising air keeps it aloft for hours and carries it kilometres high.

It's the purest form of human flight: the same lift that birds ride, felt through your own body. And in a tandem glider, built for two, you get to feel it on your very first day — with a certified pilot doing the flying.

Your flight day, step by step

  1. Meet & weather check

We meet at the landing field, check wind and clouds together, and drive up to launch. If the weather says no, we reschedule for free — no discussion, no fees.

  2. Briefing & gear

Harness on, helmet on, carabiners checked twice. Your pilot walks you through the launch: a few running steps side by side, that's your whole job.

  3. Launch

Three, two, one — run. After a couple of steps the wing takes your weight and the ground lets go. Most passengers say this is the moment they'll never forget.

  4. The flight

15–40 minutes depending on conditions and the package you booked. Ridge soaring, thermals, photos — and if you want, the pilot lets you take the control bar.

  5. Landing

A gentle glide into the landing field, touching down on wheels or a few walking steps. Legs slightly wobbly, grin guaranteed.

Good to know

Who can fly?

Anyone roughly 30–100 kg who can jog a few steps. No experience, no training, no age limit above 12 (minors need a guardian's signature).

What to wear

Sturdy shoes, long trousers, a windproof jacket. It's colder up there than on the ground. We provide helmet and harness.

Is it safe?

Tandem pilots fly with certified two-seat gliders, rescue parachute, and strict weather limits. We'd rather cancel ten flights than fly one bad one.

Camera?

Leave yours on the ground — loose objects and propellers of other aircraft don't mix. We film your flight on a mounted action cam; video is available as an add-on.

Sounds like your kind of day?
